Recently, HollySys successfully won the bid for the project (section 2) of the people mover between the T3B terminal and the fourth runway of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The people mover of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is mainly to transport passengers and staff between the T3A terminal and T3B terminal. After completion, it will become the first airport people mover using a straddle-type monorail system in China, featuring 24-hour always-on operations and large capacity. As the core electromechanical equipment system integrator of the project, HollySys is mainly responsible for integrating the signal, communication, comprehensive monitoring (including PSCADA and BAS), cloud platform, intelligent O M, screen door, security access control, and integrated cabling systems, as well as providing related technical services.

The T3B terminal of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the largest single satellite terminal in the world ?. After completion, the T3B terminal is capable of handling 35 million passengers annually and forming an integrated operation with the T3A terminal serving domestic flights. A total of one airside line (T3A-T3B) is set up in this project, and the whole line is laid underground. The line has a total length of about 2.353 km (double-track), and two stations at a 1.937 km distance between them, namely the T3A terminal station and the T3B terminal station. The people mover, after completion, will connect the T3A and T3B terminals of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and provide convenient transportation for passengers. By then, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will form a layout of 4 runways and 4 terminals to meet the needs of an annual passenger throughput of 80 million, aircraft takeoffs and landings of 0.58 million, and 1.2 million tons of cargo throughput. Moreover, the operation guarantee capacity will be further improved and a safe, green, intelligent and humanistic airport will be built in an all-round way.

As a fully automated driverless line with the highest automation level (GoA4), this project will adopt a number of leading technologies in the domestic rail transit field and achieve a number of technological breakthroughs.

GoA4 grade of fully automatic operation (FAO) system independently developed by HollySys, which features high security, high reliability, high availability and high maintainability and makes the whole line driverless. The automatic reconnection technology allows the automatic completion of links like flexible marshalling, vehicle connection and system reconfiguration without manual operation. It allows marshalling 1 to 4 trains as required to flexibly match the passenger flow, thus saving energy and reducing emissions. At the same time, the intelligent dispatching technology is used to realize the precise match between the transportation organization and transport capacity, suit the needs of the tidal distribution of passenger flow at the airport, and achieve the effect of efficient and energy-saving operation. The fully Ethernet-based train network control system is adopted to realize the integrated design of the signal on-board control and train control and management system (TCMS), which simplifies the hierarchy of train control and improves the reliability of vehicle operation control.

The project, based on the urban rail Industrial Internet system, aims to build a distributed architecture with cloud-edge-end collaboration by employing emerging technologies such as cloud computing, big data, IoT, 5G, edge computing, AI, and mobile Internet, as well as the intelligent urban rail integrated business platform with HollySys' proprietary intellectual property rights (IPR). Moreover, it aims to fully integrate the central monitoring function of the signal system, the integrated supervision and control system (ISCS), the communication system, the environmental equipment monitoring system, the integrated automation system of the substation, the screen door system, and the train equipment monitoring system, and realize total information awareness of the equipment, highly self-healing and autonomous edges, and low-cost sharing of massive data in the cloud, thus providing operators with an operation-management-regulation-control integrated production, operation and management platform, optimizing the operation management and system hierarchy, and efficiently and flexibly meeting the needs of airport intelligent applications.

In addition, it aims to establish an intelligent O M system integrating multiple disciplines based on the Industrial Internet architecture. By synchronizing machine learning algorithms with the cloud-edge model, it can realize healthy management and fault diagnosis of multiple disciplines like signal, vehicle, communication, comprehensive monitoring, electromechanical, power supply, screen door, water supply and drainage, turnout, and integrated low-current UPS, and fulfill full-life-cycle intelligent O M functions such as remote centralized monitoring of key systems and equipment, intelligent status inspection, intelligent linkage management, intelligent diagnosis and decision-making, intelligent fault prediction, and basic business and maintenance management. Thereby, it will improve operational security, service levels and management efficiency, and reduce labor intensity, skill requirements, and overall O M costs.

The successful bid for this project is a major breakthrough in HollySys' rail transit integration business, which will further enhance HollySys' application and R D of key innovative technologies in rail transit. In the future, HollySys will continue to leverage the successful implementation experience of advanced technologies and system integration projects to promote the intelligent development and construction of transportation.
