In this summer’s August sunshine, a fine building arose to tower over an ancient capital.
On the morning of August 13, 2022, the last concrete pour on the main structure of the HollySys Northwest Headquarters (HQ) served to complete its topping out, accompanied by a lively lion dance and the roar of firecrackers, marking another milestone in the construction of HollySys's intelligent manufacturing industry rollout, and laying a solid foundation for the on-schedule completion and commissioning of the project. Present at the ceremony to witness the topping out of the main structure, an important project milestone, were officials of all levels from Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone (XHTZ), HollySys Group executives and employee representatives, executives from all the construction contractors, the project team, and media representatives.

Ceremony host Wu Guangxue, Secretary of HollySys Group’s Party Committee, extended a warm welcome to the attending officials, executives and guests, explaining that, with strong support from government at all levels, since the groundbreaking ceremony marking the official commencement of construction last May, CCEED and other construction contractors had worked day and night for 442 days to top out the main structure on schedule. He warmly encouraged all of the construction contractors to continue their efforts and sincere cooperation, and thus ensure the project’s on-schedule full completion and commissioning.

Zhu Liquan, Chairman of Shaanxi Ordnance Construction Supervision Consulting Co., Ltd. remarked that the successful topping out marked another milestone in the project’s construction, but that the schedule for follow-up construction remained tight, and the workload heavy, so the employees must continue to work hard, strictly abiding by the acceptance specifications, and earnestly fulfilling the project supervision principles of "control over progress, quality, and cost; management of contracts and information; organizational coordination; fulfillment of work safety duties", in order to deliver superior performance.

In his address at the topping-out ceremony, Fang Lei, Co-Chief Operating Officer of HollySys Group, first outlined the history of HollySys’s development in Xi'an, expressing confidence in Xi'an’s excellent business environment and thanking officials of all levels from Xi'an Municipal People's Government and the XHTZ’s Management Committee for their support and assistance to the project, as well as the construction contractors for their hard work. He also stressed the strong support for technological innovation and talent, and for the implementation of HollySys Group's strategy, that would be provided by the HollySys Northwest Headquarters upon its completion. The base will be equipped for technological research and development, scientific research experiments, intelligent manufacturing, integration testing and other functions, becoming a leading industrial automation smart park in China. He added that the park would undoubtedly cause industrial agglomeration, making a great contribution to the development of the digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, and other relevant industries in northwest China.

Guo Xiaohui, Deputy Director of the XHTZ’s Management Committee, emphasized the great importance attached by the zone to the construction and development of the HollySys Northwest Headquarters, and expressed the commitment on the behalf of all of XHTZ’s relevant departments to provide services supporting HollySys's construction within the zone. He also explained that HollySys, as a high-tech enterprise, had created a brand-new “business card” for XHTZ as a gathering place for R&D facilities, and expressed the wish that the HollySys Northwest Headquarters Project could be put into operation as soon as possible, since this would undoubtedly provide a further boost the development of rail transit automation, nuclear power control systems, industrial automation, intelligent manufacturing, and other industries, in the western regions.

At the end of the ceremony, using golden shovels, the guests conducted the final concrete pour for the project, and scooped yellow sand into the gilded stage as the ceremony reached the climax. Chairman Xu Yue announced the "raising of the crane hook" for topping out, for the witnessing of the guests present, marking the crossing of a threshold, and a new starting point in the project’s construction, and expressed his good wishes for early completion and commissioning of the HollySys Northwest Headquarters. At the conclusion of ceremony a lion dance was performed, accompanied by gongs and drums to bringing joy and good fortune, as a symbol of the thriving future development anticipated for the HollySys Northwest Headquarters and the complete success of the topping out ceremony.
HollySys leaders also distributed gifts to staff on the project site in an expression of gratitude for their hard work.
Project Overview
The HollySys Northwest Headquarters Project organized by Xi'an HollySys Co., Ltd., is located in the core area of Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone’s Software Park, and is the second largest industrial innovation base to be planned and constructed by HollySys Group. With a total investment exceeding RMB 700 million and around 145,000 square meters of gross floor area, the project is being built in a leading Chinese comprehensive smart industrial park, and incorporates offices, scientific research labs, and living facilities, along with equipment assembly, integration testing, and engineering technical service facilities, a state-level model intelligent manufacturing production line and a reliability laboratory of leading level in China.
Since the project’s commencement, with the strong support from officials at all levels of Xi'an City and XHTZ, and through the joint efforts of the construction contractors, the main structure was topped out on August 13, 2022. The project as a whole is scheduled for completion acceptance in March 2023, and for move-in and commissioning at end-September 2023. Upon completion, HollySys Northwest Headquarters will become an important base and global technological service center with independent innovation and system-wide integrated industrial development capability, covering HollySys Group’s core technological fields. Through fully leveraging HollySys's industry-leading strength in automation and intelligent manufacturing, and attracting and concentrating high-end Chinese automation and intelligent manufacturing human resources, this base will significantly enhance Xi'an's hard power in the technology field, driving the development of automation, informatization, industrial software, high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing etc., and greatly contributing to the development of western China’s digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, and other, industries.
